Ericardo Brings Succour To FUPRE Students With A Comedy Charity Concert

Delta State Talent Ambassador, Ologbo Eric, widely known by his stage name “Ericardo” is going well beyond comedy - He is engineering a welfare campaign for students in the state.

The fast-rising comedian, who is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most intelligent young comedians, is embarking on a project to ease the strain of the just suspended  industrial action by ASUU , on the students of his institution, The Federal University Of Petroleum Resources, Effurun in Delta State.

Through his back-to-campus initiative “BACK WITH A BANG!”, Ericardo will be providing scholarships, relief materials as well as food items and provisions to students of FUPRE.

According to him, upon the suspension of the ASUU strike, many students were forced to resume in less than 72 hours, without adequate preparations being made for their return back to classes by either their parents/guardians or themselves.

He furthermore stated that some returning students have been affected directly by the floods ravaging the country from all angles, losing their homes and leaving them with next to nothing to resume with.

It is for these reasons and more that he is putting up a Comedy Charity Concert titled “Back With A Bang!”

The charity concert will reward 3 students of FUPRE with scholarships. Food items, provisions, study materials and other gift items will also be shared to students of the university.

The charity concert will also feature special performances by top comedians from Delta State including Kelvinsapp, Litu Sms, Better Pikin, Decent, Perez, Funky Aboki, and many others.

The event will be holding on the 12th of November 2022 at the Federal University Of Petroleum Resources, Effurun Delta State.

Recall that Ericardo emerged as the winner of the Made In Delta Talent Search, and was named an ambassador to the Delta State Government by the Governor Sen. Dr. ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

Ericardo expressed gratitude to the governor for the honour to serve the state, and that he and his team are also looking to take this welfare campaign to other campuses within the state and beyond.

This great campaign is being powered in conjunction with THE OWLET, Africa’s largest social marketplace, which helps social media users boost their social media presence.
